Congratulations to Erin Davies who is travelling to Marseille with the Welsh Elite National Team this weekend to compete in the Mediterranean Open Meet. The 15-strong Welsh squad will take on some of the best in Europe.

Twenty promising young swimmers on the Swim England talent programme will go head to head with some of Europe’s best this weekend.

The teenagers will be competing in the FFN Golden Tour – Meeting de Nice which runs from 8th to 10th February 2019.

And they will be competing against many of the French national team, which has entered the event as part of its preparation towards this summer’s World Championships.

Congratulations to Carl as being selected as one of coaches.

An 18 strong British squad are travelling to Belgium to contest in the Flanders Cup meeting, one of the first international meets of the year.

Amongst the 18 making the short trip to the continent are European champions Freya Anderson, Tom Dean and Nick Pyle.

Taking place at the Swimming Pool Wezenberg in Antwerp, the meet will provide the first real test of 2019 for our GBR swimmers, as they look to focus on their race strategies and put a prolonged block of winter training to good use.

The National Winter Championships features the full range of Olympic swimming events, as well as 50m competitions for breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly.
